Busy Bees

Hello everyone! So I'm pretty sure that I should keep my day job and not attempt to become a full-time blogger anytime soon! You know what they say though? Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

Anyway, as you can imagine much has been going on here at Casey on Deck. I am now in my 31st week of pregnancy and oh boy, am I ever feeling it! Sleeping has become a thing of the past as I am having issues with back pain almost all the time. Travis, being the awesome husband that he is, recently called my Dr. and was able to get a referral from him so that I can have prenatal massages to help with the pain. I am eagerly looking forward to that! Other than back pain and a belly button that is looking dangerously close to flipping and becoming an outie, things are really going quite well. My blood pressure has leveled back out and I was cleared for having gestational diabetes. Travis and I are taking childbirth prepartion classes and they are actually pretty helpful. Most importantly, Harper Jane is consistently measuring right on track and has a strong heartbeat. I was advised by my Dr to start doing "kick counts" which is when you are to count that the baby moves at least 10 times in an hour during any two periods per day. It usually takes my girl about 10 minutes. I think she is practicing her dance moves already!

This weekend Mom and my best friend Katie are throwing me a baby shower. I am so excited to see everyone from out of town and of course to get a little bit spoiled! I PROMISE I will post pictures for everyone to see!

As I mentioned in my last post, Travis and I are now homeowners. We've been in our house a little less than three weeks and we love it. We're making a lot of progress as far as getting things re-painted and in order. It's fun to see how everything is coming along and we like to both say, "this is OUR house". One thing we didn't realize is how many things you have to buy when you go from renting to owning a home. Travis said he felt like a real adult when we bought a garden hose for the first time.

Well, that's all for now. I will attempt to be a better blogger! Cross my heart!

  1. Tracey,
Have a great time at your shower! I wish I could be there, but will plan a trip to meet Harper Jane!
