Sausage Toes

Hello all! It’s been a busy few weeks here at Casey on Deck and we have lots to share with you!

I spent this past week at the beach to join my Sherwood girls for their cheer camp. We stayed at a gorgeous private beach house right on the ocean and we had great weather all week long. I had so much fun catching up with the girls I’ve coached the past few years and getting to know the new girls as well.  They all really enjoyed touching my belly, asking me questions, and talking to Harper. When we got back to Portland, my friend Patty threw me my first baby shower with all of the girls and all of my friends I’ve made through coaching. Harper and I are very lucky girls to have such great friends! It was beautiful and again, just so nice to spend time with everyone that I miss from Portland.

In baby news, we had our 25 week appointment yesterday and everything is going well. Baby girl’s heartbeat sounded great and she's moving like crazy, I was measuring right on track (actually a tiny bit small!), and I’m still feeling good. The Dr. did notice that my blood pressure has been increasing with each appointment but it’s still in the normal range. We are just going to watch it and monitor it a little more closely. With the summer heat, I’ve also been noticing some swelling in my hands and feet. Again, nothing to worry about just a little uncomfortable! I don’t think sausage toes are a very cute look for me but as luck would have it, I can’t really see my feet these days!

Finally, we have some very big news to share with everyone! We bought our first house! Today we signed all of our final paperwork and we should receive the keys to our home on Friday, which just happens to be our fourth wedding anniversary as well! The house is close to mom and dad, close to the river, and has lots of charm which we think will make it a great first home for our little Casey Family.

Well, that’s all for now! I will post more about the house and pictures from all of the past few week’s events very soon!
